Welcoming Summer in Polná (late June)

This social and cultural week that is full of cultural and sports events is held during the summer solstice (21 June) and marks the beginning of summer and summer vacation in Polná and its surroundings. The Meeting at Peklo Pond, with its rich cultural program, is held on the last Saturday in June. The opening events are followed by the Polná Cultural Summer and its many social events organized throughout the summer months.

 

Special offer:

 

1st day – Visit the town and its sites
The Dean’s Cathedral of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, the castle grounds, the Municipal Museum

2nd day – Visit the town and its sites
The synagogue – the Regional Jewish Museum, the old school of Polná, the Jewish cemetery

3rd day – Be active

- an opportunity to visit the “U Pekla” natural pool swimming, rowboat and pedal boat rentals, beach volleyball court, football field, climbing wall, table tennis, basketball, petanque

- an opportunity to visit the “U Studánky” recreational and sports area – a sports facility with artificial turf, a half-pipe, table tennis, basketball and a children’s playground with swings

4th day – Visit the following towns:

Chotěboř – the chateau, St. Anna’s Chapel near Chotěboř

Přibyslav – the chateau, Kurfürst’s House

Nového Města na Moravě - the old town hall, the castle

5th day – Visit the following towns:
Telč –
the Tower of St. Spirit, the Fire House Municipal Gallery
Jihlava –
the Gate of Our Lady, Gustav Mahler’s house

Počátky – the town hall, urban monument zone

Pacov – the Antonín Sova Municipal Museum, urban monument zone

6th Visit the following towns:

Brtnice – Valdstein House No 74

Jaroměřice nad Rokytnou – the Otokar Březina Museum, Little St. Margaret’s Cathedral

Náměšť nad Oslavou – the castle and Baroque bridge with statues

7th day – the annual Meeting at Peklo Pond with a rich all day program is held in Polná,
(the last Saturday in June)
