Prachatice, the town of Renaissance and famous natives (the second half of June 2011)
The Golden Salt Path – Come to relive historic traditions and go back to the Prachatice of centuries past. The largest town’s festivities take us back to the Renaissance times. A pack horse caravan with wagons arrives in town just as it used to and marks the beginning of a two-day celebration, held annually the last weekend in June.
Saint John Nepomucene Neumann – his 200th birthday anniversary – An important day is the birth day of Prachatice’s greatest native, the world renowned John Nepomucene Neumann, the first US Saint. During the celebration, Prachatice will welcome many pilgrims from abroad, a cardinal and a papal legate. You are welcome to attend.
Spiritual Music Days Festival – a traditional music festival and series of cathedral concerts held in Prachatice.

Special offer:
1st day – Visit the town’s historic center.
2nd day – Engage in sports activities: IN LINE track on the sports ground and a track above Prachatice (Lázně sv. Markéty). Relax in the Wading Spa – a therapeutic “hardening” Kneipp method in Lázně sv. Markéty, free admission.
3rd day – Visit the Kratochvíle u Netolic Castle, the Dub u Prachatic Castle and Gallery and Master Jan Hus’ home town of Husinec.
4th day – Enjoy thrill-seeking experiences in Europe’s largest rope park located 10 km from Prachatice, under the Libín view tower www.adrenalin-libin.cz.
5th day – Visit the Drslavice Fortress, notice the 700-year-old Jan Hus lime tree in Chlístov on your way and explore the Nativity Scenes in Zábrdí.
6th day – Visit the town of Písek
7th day – Visit the town of Vimperk.
